One Day Adventure in Dumaguete

December 14, 2016

Dumaguete has been our port going to Siquijor, but we never ignored exploring a glimpse of what The City of Gentle People could offer. Although we took a lot of days in Siquijor, we managed to do a short trip on our last day before going back to Manila.

We planned to visit the Pulang Bato Falls & Red rock hot spring in Valencia, Dumaguete. We met a random Habal-Habal driver at the airport who drove us to the Dumaguete port. He offered us PHP 700.00 for our last day trip from the pickup point to our desired tour destination and up to our hotel drop off point. It is easy to get a Habal-Habal service in Dumaguete since it is one of their basic transport systems.

Jo's Chicken Inato
Bago kami magsimula sa aming trip, we asked our driver to stop by a restaurant to get some lunch. Dito nya kami dinala sa Jo's Chicken Inato, and he claims na one of the best Chicken Inato restaurant ito sa Dumaguete.

Funny how this restaurant has alive chicken inside their place.

Kinilaw
We loved Jo's Chicken Inato, masarap siya and very affordable lang yung price. As I could remember PHP 102 ang isang order ng kanilang Chicken Inato.

Since December kami nagpunta ng Dumaguete it is not 100% sure na sunny ang weather. So ayun nga, medyo minalas kami ng kaunti dahil inabutan kami ng ulan along our way to Pulang Bato Falls. Kudos kay kuyang driver dahil never kami sumemplang. Sobrang kabang kaba pa ako kung kaya ba ni Kuya magdrive sa ganun sitwasyon and he showed us that he is an expert driver.

Pulang Bato Falls

The man-made pool at Pulang Bato Falls
Resulting us na mag site seeing na lang and take some pictures and enjoyed the view.

Red Rock Hot Spring
After namin sa Pulang Bato Falls, agad namin pinuntahan ang Red Rock Hotspring. This hot spring contains sulfur and it has healing benefits like reduces stress and improves blood circulation na talaga namang kailangan namin as we are too tired for our 4-day trip. We feel relaxed after dipping into this hot spring.

Dumaguete's Smoking Road
Our last stop for this trip is to take a picture with this infamous road in Dumaguete. The smoke comes from the stones beside the road and it emits sulfuric steam.

Even though we only spend a day in Dumaguete, we really did enjoy our trip. I'm hoping na makabalik ulit kami and explore other known tourists spots in Dumaguete.
