Why you should visit Bohol
March 06, 2016
From land to sea; name it, Bohol has it! If you are an explorer (like us), I would suggest that you should include Bohol on your vacation list.
Let us tell you why.
Numerous Attractions
Bohol has a lot of natural attractions like Chocolate Hills, Hinagdanan Cave, Mag-Aso Falls, Busay Falls, Bohol bee farm, Butterfly and Tarsier sanctuaries. Scenic marine sanctuaries in Pamilacan Island and Loboc River also subsist.
Astonishing man-made forests such as Panglao Nature Resort, Blood Compact Shrine, and Sipatan Hanging Bridge are also integrated on the attractions in this magnificent place.
Because of its natural beauty, investors move towards putting up beach resorts like Panglao nature resort. You may also explore Alona, Virgin & Balicasag Island.
Spanish Colonization is also evident as there are numerous Catholic churches in this place. At the moment, many of these churches (Baclayo, Loboc, and Panglao Church) are under construction as an earthquake struck the vicinity last 2013.
I guess we’re unable to include all other attractions on above lists as there are too much that this place can offer!
Countless Activities
Boredom is a word (that I guess); never subsisted as there are numerous activities to try!
You might want to consider Danao Adventure Park on your bucket list as they offer activities such as climbing giant trees, river tubing, par motoring and zip line. You may also try snorkeling, dolphin watching and scuba diving in Balicasag Island.
Since we came from a long and exhausting trip and we have a stretched budget, we chose to have a buffet lunch slash sightseeing on a floating restaurant in the magnificent Loboc River. You’ll know that the place is really unspoiled because we’ve seen numerous fireflies lighting Bakawan trees at night.
It might be cheesy but if I were to write “my most memorable experience” on a slum book, this will definitely be written in that section. J
Budget Friendly
Since Bohol is a plane away from Manila, accommodation really matters. (Of course, you don’t want to spend much than what you’ve financially planned).
And good news, We didn’t spend that much to enjoy this paradise! We stayed in a budget and eco-friendly resort called Natura Vista. You can read more about this awesome resort here: The Natura Vista Resort
