Let's be honest, we are not all blessed with a "Green Thumb". I didn't have any interest in plants before until one day, out of boredom, I tried this random post from Tasty Vegetarian,  about regrowing fruits from your kitchen! I got interested trying out regrowing strawberries, since sakto may strawberries kami from my Dad's pasalubong from Baguio.

This is the video that I have followed from Tastmade Vegetarian:

I followed exactly what they did, and I am not expecting that they will grow, but here's what happened:

After a month, Sprouts started coming out. But sadly 3 sprouts only survived. That time I wasn't expecting anything that these will fully grow. But I never lose hope, I kept spraying them with water every other day and placed it in a shaded place.

After 7 months, those 3 small sprouts are now fully grown. I felt really proud of myself that these baby turned out well. I learned the value of patience growing this plant. At this moment, I'm not expecting that this will grow fruits since it is planted in a pot. Until this happened...

After almost a month, a flower came out, meaning there is a possibility that fruits will grow. I was really happy and excited seeing my baby has now bloomed!

Week after week I've been seeing some changes. The flower has been withered and fruits have been coming out!

Tadaah! My first ever homegrown Strawberry! Who have thought you could grow strawberries even though you are not living in a cold climate like Baguio? FYI, I grow them without any help of fertilizers although tatlo lang ang fruits na tumubo. I don't why but siguro dahil first time nya magkaroon ng fruits kaya ganon. I actually ate the first one on the picture above the other two got spoiled, dahil napabayaan nung nagpunta ako ng Thailand.

I hope this article will inspire other people, who liked to try out regrowing plants on their own. Growing this plant made me appreciate the wonders of plants. It teaches me to be patient, appreciates small things and most of all to be more caring for the environment.
