Exploring Singapore in Just Two Days
December 11, 2017
It's our first time traveling abroad, and we are quite scared passing through the immigration. Since first timers nga dami namin worries, dami namin nireresearch na stories na naooffload. So we made sure na prepared lahat ng papers if ever na masecond interview kami. Pero pagdating namin dun they just asked me one question and then boom, pasok ka na sa next round!

Really excited after that. We planned our trip as pure DIY. We never availed any tour packages since we are expecting that transportations in Singapore were accessible. We arrived in Singapore at 4 am and there's no buses or trains available that time so we just booked an Uber ride going to our Airbnb.
Luckily even it is too early we are able to buy tourist sim and transport cards at the airport. We took a nap as we arrived at the Airbnb and woke up that day at 12nn and we started our half-day tour.
We ate lunch at the small hawker center nearby. I have to be honest, may mga pagkain dito na hindi ganoon kasarap. Well, instead na magutom kami during our trip we really tried na maubos ang pagkain.
After ng lunch namin we went to Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple.

Next is the Peranakan House, these two places are near sa Airbnb namin kaya ito din yung pinili namin na pagsstayan.

Medyo nangangapa din kami sa transport system dito sa SG, so medyo bawiin ko yung nasabi ko sa una kong nasulat na madali lang ang transport system sa kanila. You really have to pay attention and also, you should also download some apps para mapadali ang buhay commute mo sa SG. Hindi rin gaanon kaeffective magtanong sa mga locals since hirap din intindihin English nila (Disclaimer hindi din kami ganon kagaling mag english).
Here are the apps that we used:
Google Maps
Uber
Gothere.sg
Singapore MRT
If you are traveling with friends, family or BOYFRIENDS, download and study these apps for sure maiiwasan ang initan ng ulo. (Yes, ilang beses kami nag away dahil ilang beses kami naligaw, mas lalong short tempered din kami kapag sobrang inet ng weather!)
Continuing on our trip... We ride the MRT para makarating sa Bugis. We went first to Masjid Sultan Temple and take some photos.

Next is the Haji Lane. This is one of my favorite spots in SG since mahilig ako sa arts.

After our half day tour, our last stop is the Bugis St. one of their shopping districts. Marami food stalls dito and we also do some shopping na din for pasalubongs. We took dinner at a food market near Marina Bay. We ended our day 1 roaming around and enjoyed Singapore's nightlife.
Day 2 of our trip. We visited Haw par villa, a diorama theme park.

After that, we visited again the Merlion as we would like to see it at daytime. It's Sunday that day and sobrang daming tao.
Our last destination is the Gardens by the Bay. We bought our tickets via Klook. This is one of the best parts of our trip since I'm also a plant lover and I get to see lots and lots of cactus and succulents.
Doing a DIY trip in Singapore is quite exhausting but fun. Exhausting, because it is really hot in SG and you better wear light clothes to get comfy with the weather. Also, you have to be ready with lots of walking and drinking water should be kept handy. What a nice thing about in SG is their transport system it is quite confusing at first but if you get along with it is easier than you thought. Fun, dahil sobrang ma-aamaze ka talaga how progressive Singapore is.
